Cookie Policy

The storage used by CalcVibes, what it does, and how you can control it.

Last updated:

1. About this policy

This policy covers cookies and similar storage technologies on calcvibes.com, operated by Nouman Ahmad in Pakistan. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

2. Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small records a browser can send with website requests. Local storage keeps information for a website on your device and is not automatically sent with each request. Both can remember settings, so this policy explains both technologies.

The CalcVibes application does not set cookies. It uses local storage to remember theme and currency settings when you select them. These records contain no calculator inputs or results and are not used for advertising or tracking across websites.

3. Preference storage we use

First-party settings stored in your browser
Name and typePurposeWhen savedDuration
calcvibes-theme
Local storage
Remembers your light or dark theme. When you choose a theme.Until you clear site data or your browser removes it; no automatic expiry.
calcvibes-currency
Local storage
Remembers your display currency across calculators. When you choose a currency.Until you clear site data or your browser removes it; no automatic expiry.

Without saved settings, the site follows your system theme and suggests a currency from browser language and time zone locally. It makes no external location request. Currency selection changes display formatting; it does not fetch exchange rates.

4. Cloudflare security cookies

Cloudflare delivers and protects the website. Depending on the security features applied to a request, it may set cookies to distinguish legitimate visits from automated traffic or remember a completed security challenge. For example, cf_clearance may record a passed challenge, and __cf_bm may be used when bot protection is active. These are conditional examples, not a statement that every visit receives these cookies.

The __cf_bm cookie expires after 30 minutes of inactivity; challenge-cookie duration depends on Cloudflare’s challenge settings. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation for purposes and current details. You can inspect the cookies actually set for calcvibes.com in your browser’s site-data controls.

5. Analytics, advertising and consent

We do not currently enable Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google AdSense or advertising trackers. The preference records above support settings you request. Any Cloudflare security cookies serve security functions rather than advertising.

We will update this policy and provide any legally required consent controls before introducing optional analytics or advertising technologies. Where consent is required, optional technologies will remain off until you choose to allow them, and you will be able to withdraw that choice.

6. Managing storage

You can change theme and currency using the website controls. To remove a saved choice, open your browser’s privacy or site-data settings, find calcvibes.com, and delete its stored data. You can also block storage using your browser settings. Clearing data restores the default preference behaviour.

Calculators work without saved preferences. If storage is blocked, a setting may be remembered only while the page or browser session remains open. Blocking security cookies may cause repeated challenges or prevent access to protected requests. Private browsing may clear stored data when the private session ends, depending on your browser.

7. Updates and contact
